The Last Crabtree Girl

RuthAnne Anderson’s own epistolary narrative, “The Last Crabtree Girl” takes you on her journey to becoming a top world show competitor.  This book is a glimpse of what it was like growing up with horses and ponies and the hard work involved in becoming a champion.  At age 11, she trained with world-renowned horse trainer Mrs. Helen K. Crabtree, and won multiple titles.  A great read for the young person competing today, or those who competed years ago, or anyone who knew Mrs. Crabtree.  

Also included are several illustrations by Helen Crabtree, now in the collection of the American Saddlebred Museum.
